“It may be 10,140 km from Ho Chi Minh City to Honolulu but it's only 6,301 miles. Put that in your metric marketing pipe and smoke it!” - Fran Huehls

Always troublesome, getting these maps to stay on the wall.  Just hold 'er steady for a few minutes more and I think we've got it!

The American War on Metric starts here! We must never give an inch. Mark my words, if the metric system is allowed to get a foot hold here, it will be mere hours before it is in our own back yard. We must muster every ounce of courage we have and relentlessly pound our enemy furlong as it takes until we drink from that sweet cup of victory with the rod of the triumphant in hand!

"What are we going to do tonight, Brain?"

"The same thing we do every night, Pinky--try and take over the world!"

As the metric system spread around the planet, its adoption was uneven, resulting in common present-day occurences such as the 7mm socket for a 3/8"-drive ratchet, and a 235mm wide tire for a 15" wheel.

"Right there... umm, that's a fly, yes, yes; I swatted him yesterday, sorry."

Cartography may be over-rated but this wooden pointer is the Bomb and preferable to the index finger!

Based on the "three-hour tour," the S.S. Minnow should be in this vicinity.
