Who May Use the Library

Students, Faculty, and Staff of Indiana University should use their campus ID card to borrow books from University Library. IUPUI patrons should visit the Campus Card Services  in CE 0217 to obtain their JagTag.

Residents of the State of Indiana aged 18 years or older can get an IUPUI University Library Borrower's Card by completing an Indiana Resident Library Card Application and User Agreement at the Library and providing a Photo ID and proof of current address. Acceptable forms of Photo ID:

  • Driver's License
  • Indiana BMV-issued ID card
  • U.S. Military ID
  • Passport
Proof of Current Address:
  • Lease/Rental Agreement
  • Utility Bill
  • Mail postmarked within the last 30 days
  • Letter from shelter confirming residence, must be renewed every 6 months

*** High school students visiting University Library with a school group are not eligible to obtain a borrower's card or check out materials. For information regarding guest computer passes for your group, please contact John Cooper.

Students should be advised that they will need to bring money for photocopying and printing. B&W printing from the computers will be charged $.07 cents per copy and all users will need to purchase a Printer-Copier Card at the Circulation Desk for $2.50.  The Printer-Copier Card has $1.00 already on it when purchased, and students can add money to the card using the DART machine located in the Reference area. Photocopies currently cost 10¢ per page, however if they use their Printer-Copier Card the cost per copy drops to $.07 cents.   Microform printouts cost 10¢. Color printing is available for $1.00 per page. 

*** Remember! You are responsible for all items checked out on your library card. If your card is lost or stolen, immediately notify the University Library Circulation Desk at 274-0472.

Library users may purchase a replacement IU Libraries Borrowers Card for $5.00. Students, staff and faculty should contact Campus Card Services for more information about replacing their JagTag. There is a charge for a replacement JagTag.


Public Computer Usage
