GEORGE KESSLER

After the turn of the century, George E. Kessler, born in Frankenhausen, Germany, became the leading architect for boulevard and park systems in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Terre Haute. The parkways in Indianapolis known as Fall Creek, Riverside, and White River are his design. Kessler Boulevard honors his great achievements.
