- American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
ANSI is the national coordinating agency for voluntary standards issued by technical, trade, and professional organization. The University Library does not own the actual standards. However, Purdue University Libraries own many of the ANSI listings and will lend them to us through interlibrary loan. You can also access ANSI's eStandards Store to search the database and purchase print copies online.
- American Society for Testing and Material (ASTM)
The 2000 set of ASTM standards is available in the University Library Reference Area (2nd floor) beginning at call number TA 401 .A51. Locate the standard in this area by its Standard Number. These standards are also available at the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library (IMCPL). University Library also has individual standards from several organizations such as International Telecommunication Union (ITU), The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE), and The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Search IUCAT or contact the University Library Reference Desk for the locations of these.
- Department of Defense Military Standards and Specifications
This site was created to "centralize the control, distribution, and access to the extensive collection of Military Specifications, Standards, and related standardization documents either prepared by or adopted by the Department of Defense."
