Digital Terrain Data
These databases contain global and U.S. topographic data.
Replaces the Global Land Information System (WebGLIS) database. Allows users to query and order satellite images, aerial photographs, and cartographic products through the U.S. Geological Survey.
Earthquake Hazards Program
This database from the U.S. Geological Survey's National Earthquake Information Center provides basic earthquake data from around the world, both current and historical.
Federal Land Patent Records
This database, offered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), provides access to over two million federal land title records for Eastern Public Land States, issued between 1820 and 1908.
Geographic Names Information System
"Contains information about almost 2 million physical and cultural geographic features in the United States. The Federally recognized name of each feature described in the database is identified, and references are made to a feature's location by State, county, and geographic coordinates."
National Atlas of the United States
The Interactive Map Browser allows users to create their own maps of places in the United States, by selecting variables in categories such as agriculture, biology, boundaries, climate, demographics, environment, geology, transportation, and water. The site also includes several multimedia maps.
National Geologic Map Database
Three components (Geologic Maps, Geologic Names, and New Mapping) provide information about maps and related data for geology, hazards, earth resources, geophysics, geochemistry, geochronology, paleontology, and marine geology.
"This database includes gaging station descriptive information including: Station number, station name, drainage basin area, latitude, longitude, start date of record, end date of record, number of days of missing record, and number of days of record."
