  The George Meany Center for Labor Studies is a part of the National Labor College. It acts as a national center providing continuous labor education for all union activists.

  Berkeley's Institute of Industrial Relations Library offers this useful, up-to-date metasite. Sections that are available include Labor Unions, Government, Labor Libraries, and Globalization.

• The Labor Site

  The Union Directory section of The Labor Site provides an extremely comprehensive listing of unions and their websites and/or e-mail addresses in alphabetical order.

• Organize Indiana Project

  This resource is a jointly sponsored project focused on providing education, support services, and resources to unions in order to assist organizing efforts.

• Holt Labor Library

  Included are resources in the theoretical, historical, and experiential dimensions of the class struggle in the advanced industrialized world in the 19th and 20th centuries.

• ILWU and Labor History

  The International Longshore and Warehouse Union concerns workers of all races and beliefs who came together with one single purpose: to achieve a better life for themselves and their families. The Union is about workers who built a union that is democratic, militant and dedicated to the idea that solidarity with other workers and other unions is the key to achieving economic security and a peaceful world.

  The International Association of Labour History Institutions (IALHI) brings together archives, libraries, document centres, museums and research institutions specializing in the history and theory of the labour movement from all over the world.

Unions

• Allegheny County Labor Council

  The Labor Council represents the collective interest of its affiliated unions and of the working people of Allegheny County. It helps local unions within its jurisdiction with various organizing campaigns, community services, civil rights issues, and work with charity organizations.

• The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations

  The AFL-CIO is a voluntary federation of 65 national and international labor unions. Workers and unions within this organization find the opportunity to combine strength and to work together to improve the lives of America's working families, bring fairness and dignity to the workplace and secure social and economic equity in our nation.

• Industrial Workers of the World

  This is a complete listing of the IWW's Industrial Union and Industrial Department structure. While not all of them are active, you will find a comprehesive list of those unions and departments that are active.

• International Longshore & Warehouse Union

  The ILWU is committed to workers of all races and beliefs who come together with one single purpose: to achieve a better life for themselves and their families.

• UAW

  The International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) is one of the largest and most diverse unions in North America. Since its founding in 1935, the UAW has consistently developed innovative partnerships with employers and negotiated industry-leading wages and benefits for its members.

• United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers of America

  The men and women who founded the UE were inspired by the need to build an industrial organization (meaning all workers could be part of the union), controlled by the members, with complete equality for all who worked in that industry.

• United Mine Workers of America

  The United Mine Workers of America is a growing union with a diverse membership that includes coal miners, clean coal technicians, health care workers, truck drivers, and school board employees. UMWA members live and work throughout the United States and Canada.
