Medicine & Health
Information written for the general public and for patients is sometimes refered to as "Consumer Health" information. Because Consumer Health information avoids using complex medical language, it is often easier to understand than information written for health professionals. The best place to begin searching for this type of information is the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINEplus.
If you are interested in information written for health professionals, the following Univeristy Library research guides may be useful: Nursing, Health Administration, or Physical Education. Other related research guides include: Psychology , Social Work, Sociology, and Biology, Engineering & Technology--Biomedical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering Technology, and Informatics.
You may also wish to consult the staff and collections of IUPUI's medical library, Indiana University School of Medicine Libraries, which was formerly known as the "Ruth Lilly Medical Library".
