  • American Association for Health Education (AAHE) serves health educators and other professionals who promote the health of all people. AAHE encourages, supports, and assists health professionals concerned with health promotion through education and other systematic strategies.

  • American Association for Physical Activity and Recreation (AAPAR)'s Adapted Physical Education Resource Manual [pdf]

  • LA84 Foundation has developed a wide selection of educational resources ranging from scholarly research reports to interactive games; see Publications and Resources.

  • National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) mission is to improve the practice of health education and to serve the public and profession of health education by certifying health education specialists, promoting professional development, and strengthening professional preparation and practice.

  • National Consortium for Physical Education and Recreation for Individuals with DIsabilities (NCPERID) promotes research, professional preparation, service delivery, and advocacy of Physical Education and Recreation for individuals with disabilities. Provides the Adapted Physical Education National Standards.
