U.S. Geological Survey PublicationsAvailable at University Library

The federal government is a major publisher of geology reports and publications. Below are resources produced by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Most of these resources are indexed in GeoRef [CSA-Web]. USGS publications can be shelved either in the Library's General Collection (Stacks), for older materials, or the Library's Government Documents collection, for newer materials. Many publications are also electronically accessible, and the online catalog will often reflect this.

GeoRef Key Resource The core index in geology, GeoRef provides access to the geoscience literature of the world. Contains references to geoscience journal articles, books, maps, conference papers, reports and theses. The database also includes references to all publications of the U.S. Geological Survey.

Maps and Atlases

Print map collections at University Library

IUPUI University Library maintains a small collection of Indiana-related maps shelved in map cases next to the Microfiche/Microfilm Collection, University Library, 2nd Floor. Maps in this collection include topographic maps, forestry maps, national memorial/park maps, road maps, etc. Search IUCAT to locate these resources.
