Herron Art Library - Policies

Who May Use the Library

Services are available to students, faculty and staff of IUPUI, and to all Indiana residents. Preference is given to Herron students and faculty for materials in demand.

To check out materials, users must present one of two types of valid identification:

  1. IUPUI Jagtag
    Students, faculty, and staff may obtain an IUPUI identification card (Jagtag) in the Campus Center.
  2. Indiana University Libraries Borrower's Card.
    Residents of Indiana may obtain an Indiana University Borrower's Card by presenting the following forms of identification:
    • Indiana Driver's License or ID card
    • Proof of current address, such as a lease or utility bill

User Responsibilities

Patrons are responsible for all materials charged to their cards.

Patrons are responsible for notifying the library immediately if their cards are lost or stolen. There is a $5.00 charge for replacing Borrower's Cards.

Changes in name or address must be reported to the Bursar's Office.

Herron Art Library

The Herron Art Library is a full service branch library of IUPUI University Library. Located on the IUPUI campus within the Herron School of Art and Design, the Herron Art Library offers the IUPUI community and residents of Indiana research materials on art and artists pre-history through the present day.
